About the Vinyl Rips
After some comments about declicking, it seems time to leave some info on how I produce these vinyl rips.
The record player is a late German Dual from the 80ies, a CS630Q with Ortofon cartridge and ellipsoid diamant. As preamp a Kenwood receiver KR-5030 is used.
As from March 2012, thanks to Adobe Audition and my Mac Pro, I am able to produce 96-kHz/24-Bit files.
Audio editing includes a subsonic filter because even this well respected Dual player produces some rumbling. Then I increase the highest and lowest frequencies carefully, today we are used to more dynamics than the native vinyl signal can offer. Next is declicking, but very carefully. If the record is not too scratchy, I prefer to repair the worst clicks by hand. The better the rip, the more unwanted effects occur with automatic declicking. In the end I use gain adjust for each track and channel.
Now you can edit the lossless files according to your own needs, if you don't like the bigger high-resolution files you can convert them to smaller sizes.
A word about the Mp3 files: These have 48 kHz now, I didn't even know they can, and I hope that won't create problems. I've also done a reverse test and converted them back to wave format: they have a frequency range from 30 to over 20,000 Hz, coming closer to the hi-res files than a 16-Bit rip, what more do you want? These Mp3 files aren't a bad choice at all !

Hoster Problems
Megaupload has been turned off by the copyright mafia.
Also Rapidshare has faced a trial in Germany, their major market. They now reduced download rates for free users to ridiculously low modem speed.
I just got a message from them: Only if I can prove who I am, what I share and which website/blog I run, they will allow fast downloads again – if these are legal.
Narod offers good service, but uploads are difficult sometimes.
Other hosters appear and vanish like meteors in the sky, it seems we all have to be patient until the storm is over.
Meanwhile I'm reposting old stuff replacing Megaupload links with Narod one by one.
If you're in a hurry with certain dead links to be repaired, please send me a message.
